Advent - Christmas 2025
I noticed something this Christmas season that I don’t remember noticing before. I think it’s because there’s something different in how things are being done.
The Christmas music in the stores and the restaurants was louder than I remember. It was a lot more energetic. The songs were faster. And the songs were shorter because they had been cut short to move on to another upbeat tune.
Most of the songs that I heard when I was out and about this Christmas season were about Christmas.
They were thumping the emotional nerve that people feel when they think about the word “Christmas”.
And yet I remember and think about the story of the birth of Jesus, the Son of God, Savior of the world, born in a manger, wrapped in swaddling, and the whole biblical Christmas story.
I hope that you got a glimpse of that biblical story this season.
